You’re a scientist and inventor extraordinaire with a dream to live in a tiny house. But, you also know how important renewable energy is. So, you’re on a journey to find the best energy sources to use while designing and building your tiny house. Along your journey, you’ll have quests to complete, 24 of them in fact!


Over the next 6 weeks you’ll explore energy sources, famous events, people, and inventions that changed the world of energy, and how to design and build your tiny house. Ready to get started?

What is it?

Our Learning Adventure Unit Studies are

  • all subject encompassing
  • never have textbooks or workbooks
  • project based learning focus
  • engaging reading and resources
  • and STEM focused.



This course includes daily lessons for math and English that are woven in through projects, interactive notebooking, and activities. We encourage families to also have a core math program. A core English program is optional.







What's Included:

  • 4 Day a week lesson plans for 6 week unit study
  • Daily layouts for lesson that are student led, so students take ownership of their own assignments
  • Built in study skills and goal setting
  • Materials and curriculum list (Under $50 for additional resources)
  • Daily interactive notebooking pages created by Taking Flight that include math, language arts, history, science, and more!

This is Project Based Learning in Action!

One of our Flight School students had an assignment this week: create his own math game. This activity required math skills, critical thinking, project planning, STEM skills, presentation skills, and more!
